Some yachts have a history. Spirit of Rani has a record. Built in 2012 to precise owner requirements, she has raced offshore, cruised the Mediterranean and Caribbean, and been sailed largely single-handed across blue water for over a decade. In 2024 and 2025, her current owner invested over €200,000 returning her to near-concourse condition. The work is done. She is ready to sail.

Spirit of Rani started with a question most yacht buyers never ask clearly enough: What exactly do I want from this boat?

Her current owner, a sailor who had owned boats before, asked it precisely. He wanted classic lines. Short-handed capability. Offshore performance. The comfort to live aboard seriously. He brought that set of requirements to Sean McMillan at Spirit Yachts and he designed Spirit of Rani around them.

The bespoke deckhouse is central to everything. Eleven safety-glass windows give the helmsman full situational awareness. Sail controls are helm-centric, reefing, sheet management, and sail handling are within reach of one person at the helm. The carbon rig reduces weight aloft. Electric reefing and Navtec hydraulic systems do the work that additional crew would otherwise require.

The interior is mahogany throughout, crafted, not fitted. The galley is full-service.

A 50-litre-per-hour watermaker, air conditioning, onboard generator, and a cruising range of 660 nautical miles make Spirit of Rani genuinely self-sufficient on extended passages. At 9.8 knots cruising speed, she covers ground efficiently.
