Built in 1982 in Malmo, Sweden by Tradewind & Lars Johansson, Lady Ellen is a 50m classic schooner with a timeless appeal. Offering the perfect blend of classic charm, modern comfort and huge potential as a sail training ship or as a luxury yacht. She would make an ideal family yacht and also has superb charter potential.

  • Certified for up to 100 guests, she’s ideal for events and can accommodate 27 guests overnight in 8 cabins, all classed by Germanischer Lloyd.

  Between May and November 2023 extensive works were carried out on the sailing vessel Lady Ellen at two leading UK shipyards, Harland & Wolff at Belfast and Cammell-Laird at Birkenhead. This included, among other aspects;

– main engine and generator servicing;

– cable ranging and replacement;

– underwater fittings and bow thruster refurbishment

– full servicing and recommissioning of fire suppression systems

– hotel services (fresh water, heating, lighting) refurbishment and replace
 

– replacement of internal tanks

– full suite of SOLAS gear replaced (life rafts/life jackets/EPIRBs etc.)

– full electrical integrity checks and rectification

– bilge clearance and tank cleaning throughout

– radio communications and navigation equipment survey, rep;pacement where necessary and set to work.

– a basin trial and full power trial underway was conducted before leaving UK waters.
